[Podcast] Finding Success at the Intersection of Content Services, Cloud, and Analytics

Cloud  |  Content Services  |  AIIM on Air

Over the past few years, we’ve seen the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) industry go through some significant changes. Many would say it goes even deeper than change and have been calling it a metamorphosis. In nature, metamorphosis is the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages – a good example is a tadpole turning into a frog.

So, if we were to think of ECM as the immature form and Content Services as the new adult form, there are some interesting parallels. For instance, earlier forms of ECM were, like the tadpole, perfectly suited for survival for that period of time. But, now as the tadpole’s goals change from survival to procreation, its body goes through a metamorphosis and becomes something much more suited for the tadpole’s new, more complicated goals. In ECM, it’s a similar transformation. As our business goals developed over recent years, we required a new way to keep up with managing and leveraging all of our business information.

What is the metamorphosis of ECM to Content Services? What are the important changes? What’s the impact on your strategy? Those are the questions we aimed to cover on this episode of the AIIM on Air Podcast.

For answers to these questions, your host Kevin Craine chatted with Stephen Ludlow, VP of Product Marketing at OpenText. Stephen is a featured presenter, along with AIIM President Peggy Winton, on AIIM's FREE Webinar On-Demand The Metamorphosis of Content Services: 5 Ways That Automation, Integration, and Intelligence Are Redefining This Strategy.

Listen to Stephen discuss the changing strategies and approaches to content services on this podcast episode; then, check out the webinar on-demand for even more information.
