9 Questions to Ask about Cloud ECM…a Good List

Cloud  |  Enterprise Content Management (ECM)

I had a great call this morning with a group from Tieto. Tieto is an IT service company providing IT, R&D, and consulting services. Tieto's main markets are the Nordic countries, Russia and Poland. In addition, Tieto serves its customers globally in certain areas of expertise and has industry-specific activities in selected countries.

In the course of the conversation, we talked about the following key questions that CEOs need to ask themselves relative to cloud-based and SaaS ECM.

It's a pretty good list...

  1. Do you know how current IT innovations will leverage new business opportunities for your company?
  2. Are you aware of how much IT administration is eating away time and resources from your knowledge workers?
  3. Can you demonstrate that your organization is fully utilizing your current software licensing and other IT investments?
  4. Do you feel that your current IT is limiting your company’s business potential?
  5. Are you convinced that your customers engage with your services in the best way? Are they convinced?
  6. Would you consider “time-to-market” as a critical factor in your areas?
  7. Have you thought about commercializing your company’s processes and information beyond your current offering?
  8. Do you benefit from Green IT as a way to reduce costs while improving your company’s reputation?
  9. Are you under the impression that buying IT as a Service would propose a major security risk for your business?
