Yes, we realize that “digitalizing” is a bit of a “manufactured” word. But we use it intentionally to illustrate that merely “digitizing” business processes – often interpreted as scanning paper into an archive – is not sufficient to deal with the challenges created by digital disruption. In order to truly transform, organizations must look at their business processes from the outside-in (from the customer perspective) and reimagine these processes as a purely digital competitor would.
