FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 11, 2024
Silver Spring, Maryland – The Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM) announced Jesse Wilkins as the first-ever CIP Ambassador.
The Certified Information Professional (CIP) credential is an internationally recognized information management certification. AIIM created the CIP in 2011 to recognize information professionals with the skills to protect and manage information and develop organization-wide strategies based on established methodologies and industry best practices. To obtain a CIP credential, an information management professional must pass a proctored, 100-question multiple-choice exam. Certified professionals display “CIP” as a post nominal.
AIIM created the CIP Ambassador program to empower industry thought leaders to promote the CIP program and serve as a resource to anyone interested in obtaining or maintaining certification.
“The CIP is a vital credential in our industry and we believe CIPs are key to expanding the use of intelligent information management within organizations,” said AIIM President & CEO Tori Miller Liu. “CIP Ambassadors will help us grow our community of CIPs as well as offer objective, peer-to-peer advice to the community.”
CIP Ambassadors promote CIP through social media and professional events. They serve as a resource to the community and offer strategic guidance to AIIM on how to improve the CIP. CIP Ambassadors receive a percentage of revenue from certification sales.
“We are excited to launch the CIP Ambassador program with Jesse Wilkins,” said Liu. “Jesse was instrumental in both the creation and recent update of the CIP and he is one of the world’s foremost experts on the CIP body of knowledge.”
