AIIM Appoints Dr. Galina Datskovsky to Board of Directors
Renowned AI and Information Management Expert to Serve Through 2027
Silver Spring, MD – AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management), the authority on data and information readiness for AI, today announced the appointment of Dr. Galina Datskovsky, Ph.D., CRM, FAI, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Datskovsky will serve through December 31, 2027, filling the vacancy created by Tom Rieger's recent resignation.
Dr. Datskovsky brings more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, information governance, and technology innovation. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time as AIIM continues to position information management professionals as essential partners in organizational AI readiness and governance.

"Her extensive background in both AI and information management makes her uniquely qualified to help guide AIIM's strategic direction. She understands firsthand the governance and compliance challenges that new technologies introduce, and her expertise will be invaluable as we support our members in navigating the AI transformation."
Dr. Datskovsky is an internationally recognized expert in information governance and associated technologies. She is a former President and Fellow of ARMA International and currently serves on the boards of several technology companies and non-profit organizations. Her career includes leadership roles at HP Software, Autonomy Inc., and CA Inc., where she oversaw global information governance strategies. As co-founder and CEO of MDY Advanced Technologies, she helped create MDY FileSurf®, a leading records management software solution.
With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University, focusing on machine learning and natural language recognition, Dr. Datskovsky has maintained a career-long focus on emerging technologies including cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. She is a sought-after speaker on information governance topics worldwide and has already made significant contributions to AIIM, most recently serving on the Finance Committee.

Dr. Datskovsky's appointment was made in accordance with AIIM's bylaws, which permit the Board of Directors to fill vacancies between annual elections.
