By now, you may have heard that [AIIM is in the process of updating its Certified Information Professional (CIP) Program](https://info.aiim.org/aiim-blog/the-updated-certified-information-professional-exam-answers-to-all-of-your-questions). With CIP 3 set to launch soon, your podcast host Kevin Craine wanted to dig deeper into what users can expect from the revamp of the program.

To get some answers, Kevin took a two-pronged approach on this episode of AIIM on Air. First, he went straight to one of the people leading the CIP 3 charge - AIIM's Director of Professional Development, Jesse Wilkins. For the past 6 months, Jesse and a team of very experienced subject matter experts and staff have been revising the CIP exam, program, and training.

Then, Kevin chats with [Amitabh Srivastav](https://www.linkedin.com/in/amitabhsrivastav/), VP of Operations and Governance at [Helux Systems](https://www.heluxsystems.com/). Amitabh participated as a beta tester of the new CIP 3 exam and offers his thoughts on why he believes becoming a CIP is critically important for information professionals today.
