Call for Nominations for the AIIM Board of Directors

Lead the future of AIIM and the information management industry. The Association for Intelligent Information Management is now seeking new at-large members of the Board of Directors. We are particularly looking for early to mid-career professionals, practitioners/end users, and highly active volunteers.

About the Role of Director At-Large

Board members are entrusted with advancing the organization’s mission and serving the needs and interests of members. As the association's primary stewards, the AIIM Board of Directors embraces its duty of foresight to guide the information management community into the future. As a board member, you will provide the strategic direction of the organization and are entrusted with serving the needs and interests of all members. Meet our current board members.

As a board member, you will spend approximately a 30-40 hours per year preparing for meetings, collaborating with other board members and staff, and participating in board meetings. The board meets at least four times per year. Board members occasionally work together between meetings to advance key projects and initiatives. As a board member, you will be asked to:

  1. Attend a virtual board orientation meeting in December.
  2. Attend four Board meetings per year with one allowed absence. Meetings are held once per quarter. The 2024 meetings will be held in January (virtual); April 2 in San Antonio, TX (in-person); July (virtual); October (in-person).

Director At-Large Qualifications

  1. Interest and experience working with intelligent information management technologies and practices
  2. Interest in strategic planning, implementation, and financial management
  3. Demonstrated commitment to AIIM and the industry.
  4. AIIM Professional Member in good standing.
  5. Ability to attend board meetings. Board members are responsible for their own travel expenses.

  3. Upload a reference letter from someone familiar with your work that tells us about your abilities and what you would bring to the AIIM Board.

About AIIM Elections and Nominations

Nominations are reviewed by a nominating committee appointed by the current Board of Directors. A slate of nominees are then presented to membership and a vote is held. You will be notified if you are included in the slate of nominees and elected.
