AIIM Launches New Virtual Training Workshops for Information Management Practitioners  

Silver Spring, Maryland, USA – March 26, 2025 – The Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM) today announced the launch of its new Virtual Training Workshop series, an innovative addition to its educational offerings designed to provide hands-on, interactive learning experiences for information management practitioners worldwide. 

These new workshops feature small class sizes of just 6-10 participants, enabling more personalized attention from instructors and creating valuable opportunities for peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. All Microsoft-focused courses are exclusively led by Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), ensuring participants receive expert guidance from recognized industry leaders. 

AIIM has collaborated with Leadership Through Data (LTD) to deliver enhanced Microsoft 365 training as part of this initiative. This strategic partnership leverages LTD's experience in information management and knowledge in Microsoft technologies to create comprehensive, hands-on learning experiences.

"Our new Virtual Training Workshops create greater accessibility to critical training in information management in an interactive, small-group format.” 

The Virtual Training Workshops complement AIIM's existing catalog of online, on-demand courses. The initial workshop lineup includes: 

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot for Information Managers (May 22, 2025): Discover how this powerful AI tool can revolutionize workflows and organizational capability. Participants will learn how to leverage Copilot not just for personal productivity but to elevate the capabilities of entire information management systems. 
  • Microsoft 365 SharePoint for Super Users (June 10-11, 2025): Gain a comprehensive understanding of SharePoint Online's structure and features, essential knowledge for administrators and managers seeking to optimize their organization's information architecture. 
  • Certified Information Professional (CIP) Accelerated Virtual Prep Workshop (June 16-18, 2025): Led by Jesse Wilkins, CIP, President of Athro Consulting, this intensive workshop compresses essential CIP exam content into three focused 2-hour sessions, providing participants with the knowledge, confidence, and test-taking strategies needed to successfully achieve CIP certification. 
  • Microsoft 365 Teams Information Governance & Protection (June 24-25, 2025): Ideal for organizations that have implemented Microsoft Teams and are now seeking retrospective governance solutions. Learn best practices for securing, managing, and governing information shared within Teams environments.

All workshops will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, featuring practical exercises, real-world case studies, and cutting-edge insights into best practices across the information management landscape.
