FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Silver Spring, MD – The Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM) today announced that the AI+IM Global Summit 2027 (AIIM27) will be held April 19-21 in Houston, Texas, at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria. AIIM also opened its Call for Speakers and Call for Event Volunteers, inviting information professionals to help build next year's program.

AIIM27 brings together information management leaders from around the world to work through what AI means for how organizations manage their data. What sets it apart from a typical conference is the cohort model. Using AI, attendees are matched into small cohorts that meet together throughout the event and continue meeting virtually before and after the Summit, turning individual sessions into an ongoing conversation.
“The cohort model is what makes the Summit different,” said Tori Miller Liu, CIP, AIIM President and CEO. “People don’t just sit in a session and move on to the next one. They stay connected to the same small group all week and keep working through what they learned together long after the event ends.”
AIIM27 will be the Summit's third year, and the content has earned that momentum. At the 2026 Summit, 92.6% of participants said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the event, and sessions scored an average of 4.71 out of 5 across 282 ratings. Eighty-four percent called the Summit exceptional or good value for their time and money, 84% said they were likely or very likely to attend AIIM27, and 84% said they were likely or very likely to recommend it to a colleague.
One attendee commented “[cohorts] helped me to connect with new people before attending in person, which would have otherwise been intimidating since I was travelling by myself. Several of the people in my cohort offered helpful advice that I was able to look into immediately.”
The AI+IM Global Summit is an event built by information professionals for information professionals, and AIIM is looking for people to help shape it. Four ways to get involved:
Speakers and volunteers are recognized as thought leaders across AIIM's global channels, get complimentary or discounted registration and get a direct line to the decision-makers and peers shaping where information management is headed. Known as Space City, Houston is a diverse, energetic destination that will host AIIM27 at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria. The hotel sits next to The Galleria, an international shopping destination that draws more than 30 million visitors a year, with over 400 stores and restaurants and a full-sized ice rink. Houston's museums and sporting events are a short drive away.
“We are excited to bring this AIIM27 to Houston,” said Liu. “It is fitting that Space City will be home to AIIM27 because this event is designed to rocket information professionals into the future through interactive learning and thoughtfully designed cohorts.”
