After all the hype about moving content to the Cloud over the past few years, there are still many misconceptions about when and how to deploy content services in the cloud. For example, there are many organizations still resistant to what they consider to be security vulnerabilities or performance risks, especially in the Financial Services sector. Consider too that there have been great strides forward in cloud technology, such as containerization, that make deployments much faster, and a host of new low-code applications that deliver on the promise of serving Line of Business leaders who aspire to true business agility, unencumbered by their overworked IT counterparts.
Like any emerging technology, content services in the cloud simply needed a little time to mature, and now that some major organizations have pioneered cloud-based content and worked out the bugs and proven the business case, it is an excellent time to revisit the topic.
