Free Webinar: The Simplest Route to Security and Compliance

How North American Multinationals Are Responding to Regulatory Compliance

2018 is just around the corner, and with it comes a slew of new security and regulatory concerns. Issues like the recent Equifax breach seem to have everyone asking, “How do I make sure that doesn’t happen to me?”  And if the fear of breach is not enough – stricter regulations are on the way including the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will totally revamp how we process and store the personal information of European Union (EU) citizens.

This regulation has the potential to affect any organization that does business with or employs people in the EU. Responding to this new landscape of information security concerns and complying with this – or any – regulation can seem like a massive effort. This is especially true if your organization has not been employing best practices with managing your data and information, or if you struggle to manage multiple systems with inadequate architecture. According to AIIM research, 52% of respondents have three or more ECM/DM/RM systems, and 22% have five or more systems. With this in mind, is it really possible to achieve and prove compliance without central controls?

In this webinar, we’ll take a close look at some best practices for data privacy compliance, and assess how six large US-based multinational organizations are:

  • Prioritizing GDPR compliance with other goals
  • Assessing the risk posed by noncompliance
  • Formalizing teams to address this and future mandates
  • Revising data privacy models in a world where breaches continue to be the norm

Consistency, control, and ease of use are the trifecta that will determine your organization’s ability to comply with regulations – and keep your company’s name out of the data breach headlines. Without achieving the simplest route to compliance, the risk will always be too great.

This webinar is approved for 1.0 hour of CIP Maintenance Credits.
