The modern business ecosystem has changed considerably in just the past few years and with it have come some new challenges for the information professionals involved in storing, maintaining, and protecting it all. Managing business information has grown from something that was once limited and contained *behind* *the corporate walls* to something that’s well…anywhere and everywhere! The rising demand for new devices, greater agility, and work beyond the corporate wall has given birth to a new wave of challenges, including:

- **Worker Mobility**- Work stations are increasingly becoming mobile. How do you handle new collaboration tools, new devices, and more?
- **Cloud Infrastructure** - Information is being stored all over. How do you discover what you have and how to classify it?
- **Protecting it All** – Perhaps one of the biggest new challenges is data privacy and security. With stricter regulations like [GDPR](https://info.aiim.org/aiim-blog/three-critical-steps-for-gdpr-compliance), CCPA, and more, what's the best way to make sure your business is clear of the data breach headlines?

How do we address these new challenges? On this episode, your podcast host Kevin Craine chats with John Herring, president and CEO at [Fasoo](https://en.fasoo.com/) for his best tips for intelligent information management and how to protect, control, trace, and analyze critical business information.

Also on this episode, Kevin sits down with Jessica Harmon from [Phillips 66](https://www.phillips66.com/) discusses the challenges of information management in the oil and gas industry, as well as her experience as a member of the [Women in Information Management (WIIM)](https://www.aiim.org/wiim) community at AIIM.
