Where do you see the information management industry in 5 years? What do you see as the next big impact?
I see this industry being transformed as part of the digital transformation to manage large information sets spread across a great geographical area.

What questions are you asked the most by your colleagues?
Should I be doing data science?

What are three things you’ve told yourself that kept you going during your darkest hour?
Every additional thing I gain in life is gravy, I can only control how I respond to external things. The mind is very powerful, and it will either limit you or help you.

Would you quit your job if you won the lottery, even if you loved your current position?
No

What makes you excited about Mondays?
Solving new problems.

What do you dread most about going to work?
Production systems going down.

Who has been your mentor in your working life, and what did they do/say that had the biggest impact on your reasoning?
A former business partner who showed me you always need to stay true to yourself.

Tell me about a project that forced you to be innovative and creative.
I was called into the COO’s office and was told we needed to respond to an opportunity in four hours. This would require me to determine if we could make significant changes to our product in a year, and determine this within that four hours window.

What do you do for fun?
Travel
